Moving to a trunk mount meth kit
I'm moving from the ww procede meth kit to a trunk mount but I'm not sure what gauge wires I need for the power and ground wires. Do you guys know? I've called Vishnu , left a voicemail and sent emails but they are really slow to respond.
Also, is it ok to leave my ground wire where it is in the engine bay and simply run my wire up there? |

14-16AWG is fine. I'd go with 14.
Yes you can leave your ground up there. Many people have simply extended the wires from the relay without issue, but thats only the positive terminal. You can ground it in your trunk somewhere just as easy, and without needed to run two wires. |

Thanks Tzu, I bought 12Gauge 12ft wires for both, with the same connections to mate up with the relay. Since i was going to route one tube, it would make sense to just route all of the wires and keep it clean. Is there a negative effect of using too big of a wire?

I used 12 guage wire also and so far no issues. Just make sure you put a fuse into the power wire and your good. Smart your going with a trunk mounted tank. It's the best solution

Is it necessary to have a vent in the tank also? |

This may sound silly.....but try blowing through it.
Mine has a tiny vent hole about the size of that small circle in the middle of your cap. I can't tell if that circle is open or not from your pics. It doesn't look like it is, but if it passes air then you are vented. |

I have the Vishnu Pwm kit as well. My cap is the same as yours and I went through ~8 tanks and no issues yet. I also put my ground/power/meth line in a tube for added insurance against rubbing. I called Vishnu and they said 12-14guage wires are good to use. So you're golden

Looks vented to me with all the openings on the perimeter. I assume it is a one way vent to allow air into the tank as meth is withdrawn. You wouldn't typically want it to vent out of the tank as the vapor is a potential hazard.
Rather than trying to blow through it, apply a vacuum to it and see if air is entering through those small holes around the perimeter. |

Would be cool if it was a one way valve... In fact I'm thinking of putting a one way valve in just in case. There is no way though this cap can vent anything. The rubber seal is around the rim of the tank so it's all closed up. There are no needle holes on the cap either.
