Shops for Squeaky Brake Pad Wear Sensor

Hey all,

Sure at least a few of you had the squeaky brake pad sensor issue @ low speeds. Dealer tried to bang me over the head with repair cost so I'm look for a shop in Brooklyn that is familiar with it, whether its BMW specialty or not...doesn't matter...

Thanks!

What exactly is going on that causes this? I thought it was just a design flaw

It's not always the sensor. If it is, just bring it anywhere and tell them what to do.

Well, I drove around for a bit with the BMW foreman in my car for a bit who diagnosed it as this fairly common issue. I did research at home after the drive and I discovered that the sensor is only on rear passenger side and front drivers side, which pretty much confirmed my suspicions.

It is from what I understand a design flaw, but I read about people on the forums having success with replacing brake pads and sensor?
