lowering car causes too much stress on the rear end?

Sorry to be overwhelming this section with posts, but I'm trying to learn about this cars suspension. If I remember correctly didn't Shiv say lowering the car more than an inch causes to much stress on the cars rear and makes it bad for tracking/draging the car? Has this been proven wrong? Not sure if that was exactly what he said so don't quote me or him but I remember seeing something similar to that.
