That hurts when you say that. I'll happily donate $0.25 and it's only $2.95 shipping and handling.....

I had an appendectomy recently, and the wound got infected and is still healing...and had my gall bladder removed less than a year ago...is that enough crap to be going through for free money and mod help? j/k (about the request, not the list of crap)

That is an awesome story!

My friend's Dad had an 81 ish Esprit Turbo with the 4 banger in it. Did 60 in under 6 which in 1982 was quick.

It was the fastest thing I had ever been in at the time and driving around North London in it made you a super hero. Especially when we were allowed to take it up the pub.

It was peculiarly 'British' though and IIRC, the door handles looked like they were off an Austin Allegro and the taillights looked like they were sourced from a tractor trailer and stuck on as an afterthought.

But it went like stink though. Around corners too.

that's like giving someone an anema as gift, it's not for everyone, sort of an acquired taste

Incredible story, this is an example of what we can do together when someone needs us. Congrats to him and to all the people involved!

BTW
Maybe if each one of us gives a dollar to one member on his/her birthday to an specific paypal account or so, we could end up having some very cool gifts from all of us. I know some days 3 or 4 will have their birthdays at the same day but still 3 or 4 bucks for a good cause is not that much,... and I don't say this because my b/day is soon, actually my b-day was in march,.... but can you imagine if only 50 of us give that present, that's $50 bucks!, that can be used for a lot of things and if all of us do that,... that could end up to be what,... $23,539??? That's the official members number,....man that would rock!!!!,... I could buy so many things!!! and so do you!!!

Great story, something similar to this happened in the S2000 SoCal forum. Someone's husband passed away and they fixed up her car.

Very nice article..

Kind of along the same lines of good articles, anyone get the Hydrogen H7 magazine from BMW? Inside was a story about a guy who autocrossed/tracked M3's with one arm. Long story short, when he asked BMW performance school if somehow they could set up SMG in his new m3 so that he could shift with one arm, bmw rose to the challenge. Not only did they implement it in his m3 for no charge, they had an m3 setup with the same retrofit at the BMW Performance school so that he could learn on it.. Was really impressed with that story as well..
