So after a failed attempt at ambergone's from one of the more popular vendors online, (They shall remain unnamed due to horribly cut out vitex ambergone's) I decided to go to my tint guy and see what he could do for me.

Results where BETTER than expected. He did a great job and cut out the vynil himself. He saved the template just in case another e90 decides to stop by. (If you are in the sacramento area and want his shop address and # pm me.)

Overall I am happy with the results. Tell me what you think.

I was actually thinking about that earlier... If I do decide to do grilles I'll do gloss black.

haha, from what I can see on wikipedia it aired 1930's-1980s. (well, a series of different shows anyway)

i want to like it cuz theres no more orange reflector, but.... why's it look so thick compared to other pre-lci e90s ive seen??

side note, it DOES remind me of the lone ranger! HAHAHAHAHA

The vendor that I bought it from sells them for $40. I installed them and the "machine cut" vynil they sent me was completely off. Didn't cover all of the yellow, and just poor quality overall.

That much vynil is necessary to cover up the yellow from all angles. You can use a thinner cut out, but at certain angles you will still be able to see the yellow stick out past the black.

Way better than the cheap-o overlays...

Can you take some pictures at night? I am very curious to see how the turn signals look with those on? Any issues with "seeing" the turn singals or other "safety hazzards" ?

Yes you can barely see it, but he could not get the bottom of the headlight. He curved the vynil around the bend, but could not get it to the end. But it's not very noticeable at night and definitely during the day you can't see it.

Basically the whole face of the headlight is covered but a very little amount of light does escape from the bottom part of the headlight, after it curves.
