Shocking tyre prices
Ok, so my car went to my local deal for its annual 3rd service, £400 later just for oil and filters I'm told I also need two new tyres due to a deep cut in tread and a large bulge in inner sidewall arrrhhhgh!
My question to you experienced people, I've been quoted the below is there any other reputable local company (Halifax West Yorks) which is likely to give me a better price? BMW E93 330D 19" Bridgestone T2553019B001 31A3 REO. Price inc VAT from BMW x 2 = £763.68 !! |

Thats alot of money... Equivalent to about $1200 here depending on exchange rate. I can almost get four 18" tires for that here in the US. These cars definitely are not cheap to operate. But I would rather have a BMW than a Yugo.

£400 for oil and filter? This place is taking you to the cleaners! That's an easily DIY job, £40 in materials and half hour of labor.
Order tires on the internet, take them to a local tire shop to have them mounted. You can save a lot of money and improve your ride quality if you switch from runflat tires to regular non runflat tires. FWIW I got two 275/35/19 Conti DW2 tires for $498, $50 to mount. |

i would order tires online - BMW only uses a couple brands and i'm pretty sure they're all runflats.
if you order your own, you can get non runflats and spend way less. that's a ridiculous price for two tires

well they are probably trying to sell you another pair of run-flat tires
they're really expensive, almost twice what you could get with budget tires (still good tires, for example, Hankook Ventus V12s) |

Probably quoted for the same run flats what's on there now Bridgestone, to be honest I'd want the same make of tyre all round.
