Mosselman 325i remap
Has anyone got involved in this? Their power gains for the 325i seems farfetched don't you think? 54hp for £1200....
Comments much appreciated ![]() |

Way too pricey but not far fetched. With a 3-stage intake manifold and an AA stage 2 or eurcharged tune you can pull about 260hp with just stock intake and exhaust. In the US the tunes go for about $400 and $700 if you want the device that allows you to update the car's map yourself.

Right, it's for the non-valvetronic, direct injected, n53 motor which is much easier to tune than the n52.

Isn't the late 325i hampered mostly by its intake anyway... All they seem to be offering is a new intake and a remap to take account of it. And what you end up with is basically a 330i in both power and torque
They also have a £200 install charge... A at least £1400!! You'd be cheaper selling the 325i and getting a 330 ![]() |

Damn you British and your N53s. Im pretty sure the answer is no, but has anyone brought one to the US and transplanted it into something?

As long as you have N53, Moss kit and K&N replacement filter. It was very close, but it gives you an idea where your car stands. I have not dynoed my car, but guys who have with same above, posted anywhere from 282 to 295hp.
If you do full exhaust without headers, you can gain 7-10 hp, w headers I'd imagine it would be 5 to 7 more. This all w tune. But at that point you're much better off buying a 335. The reason I went with my 325 is because I could not find a decent 335 in my area, nor was I willing to fork out the $ for an older one, especially w the M4 around the corner. Economics of mods. For what it is, I am very happy w the car, it is what I expect out of a BMW. *I am not trying to start a whole numbers war or forum troll. Its my experience, I am very happy w the results. I am aware of the numbers of S5 and 330i stock. In EU we have pump gas of 97 and more. This was at track. Cheers all, happy mods. Last edited by Ghostriderf80; 02-24-2014 at 04:56 PM.. |

I chose 325i over 330i because I was going to replace all the 330i upgraded parts anyway. (I bought the car new). I newer considered 335i because of the driveability (turbo lag, turbo pull and the extra weight over the front axle). I spend on the car more then 335i would cost. I have 3stage manifold, dyno tune, headers, performance intake, Supersport catless exhaust, ultimate clutch pedal, competition clutch plate, 335i driveshaft and differential, performance brakes front and rear, M3 suspension with Bilstein B16 front and rear, CF hood …
As for smoking V8 S5 – not even close.
