I've searched around for a week and can't seem to get this answered..
I have a e90 with factory hifi system I changed out the amp from a JLAudio 600/6 it made the sound stage louder, clearer but i was not satisfied. The gains on the front and rear are set to 1/5th The under seats are set to 1/3rd Crossover on the JL is set for 120hz on all channels I am going to change out the front speakers for morel hybrid ovation ii's this week and i dont have access to a multimeter or RTA for proper tuning. So my question is this... What crossover settings and gains does anyone with the same setup have them set to? |

With the 600/6 you have only a 12dB slope, you should not go below 200hz crossover using OEM speakers and the 12dB slope. Set to 200...just be careful as the 600/6 has plenty of power to damage the OEM woofers (with no High-Pass in your configuration).

Setting with Morels and Jehnerts
Setting with Morels and Jehnerts rear stock speakers.
I ran this a few days with the stock speakers and if I left them in I would have backed off on the gain for the under seats and left all door gains at zero. Also these were Morel Dotechs and the crossover was set to the -3db jumper setting. Last edited by ctuna; 10-02-2012 at 02:31 AM.. |
