Moving to UCSC Area
Hey guys, I will be moving to the UCSC Area, I was wondering how many people live in that area, also if anyone know of nice aparments in the area. I will be moving there to finish up my degree. I will also be looking for a new job, hopefully something like I do now or at least in the same field.
Please let me know if there are communities I should stay away from and some that you may recommend. Many thanks!!! |

several of us actually go to school here haha. try to stay away from downtown area. most students live a few blocks from campus. im currently living off nobel which is like 2 blocks from the base.
what degree are you trying to finish? |

downtown area is actually okay. it can get a little sketchy sometimes though with an abundance of homeless that roam around. i would definitely stay away from living near ocean and past that since that's the crack head/prostitution area lol
like terry said, many students live near the base of the ucsc campus (upper westside area). but in general, westside & upper westside is where you wanna live. if you like the beach, WestCliff Dr is a really nice place to live. if you like the nightlife and bars and such, laurel street/blackburn/walti/felix is where you wanna live. otherwise if you're more school oriented and wanna be in a college community, then living off nobel is ideal gluck!
