235/40/18 Tyres on Rear MV3's

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some advice. Been offered a pretty sweet deal on a set of 235/40/18 winter tyres, and was looking at putting them on my MV3's as a winter set.

I have 225/40/18's for the front already, but was wondering if I can get away with these 235's on the rear. I realise that they are a bit narrower than normal, so a bit of stretch, but the 40 profile means only a little out on overall diameter (I believe around 1.7% or something according to the calculator above).

Will this be okay? Bearing in mind the driving style will be relaxed during the winter months anyway.

The 235/40/18 will fit fine on the rears, and the difference between 225/40 and 235/40 are very little, so I don't see no problem with this.

Yeah, but its usually a 255/35 on the rear.
