High (steady) idle after spirited drive

I noticed that my car idles higher than normal everytime I play a little bit with it. Lets say I push it for 10-15 miles with long sections over 5k rpm, when I come to a stop, the car idles fine and steady, but at 850rpm. Usually, when granpa driving, it idles around 600rpm. After a while, the idle returns to its usual 600rpm.

I can come with no idea of a condition that causes different idle according to previous use of the engine.

I've read codes with INPA and found no stored fault.

It did it again today (pretty much everytime is driven "as it is intended"). Anybody has an idea?

I have put new plugs and checked that the airbox is properly mounted after the MAF.

Could it be some problem with the Vanos solenoids? Air leak somewhere (but then why only when hot) ?
