H&R springs: issue with tall bump stops?
Hi guys,
I have a set of H&R springs (part#50494, xi specific) and one fellow on FBook asked what my solution was for the tall bump stops. Do I need to take these in to consideration? Or it is a simple swap of the stock springs with the H&R's? Car is a 2011 335xi E90 with M sports package (which of course didn't change the susp'n from the non-M sports packaged cars if I recall.

Re: 2010 e92 X-Drive
I had occasional bottoming issues with H&R Sport springs using the OEM struts/shocks. I upgraded to Yellow Koni Sports and installed E36 M3 bump stops and have had no problems since then. I can't say if the problem was fixed by the Koni's or the bump stops. There is no need to replace the rear bump stops. Plenty of travel with no bottoming. The M3 stops are a half inch shorter than stock. I cannot comment on the need to use shorter rear bump stops if you are using H&R race springs. Part Number - 31332225377 Part Description - 7-M3 ABSORBER Price - $18.84 each |
