So, what bulb did you end up going with? I'm in the same boat... just upgraded to LUX E90 LCI Halogen angel eyes (6500K) and now my stock H7 headlight bulbs look yellowish.
Want something that more closely matches but without a blue hue. |

Someone on another forum recommended the HIPRO POWER 5900K bulbs ($15 on eBay). I might have to try these since they're cheap and if they don't work then I'll just reinstall the stock bulbs.

Yes, they are 100W bulbs. But the guy on the other forum said he has used those bulbs for over 6 months with no issues. I just bought a set on eBay for $12.95 (free shipping)... I'll post some comparison photos when I get them. I'm concerned about the 100W rating too, so not sure if I'll keep them installed.

What's funny is I looked at the MTEC 2X Super White H7 bulbs and they claim to "consume" 55W yet produce 100W of light output. Their page even says no extra heat issues, etc.
So I bit the bullet and bought some MTEC bulbs too. I'm a photographer, so I'll post some comparison shots (HIPRO vs stock and MTEC vs stock) after everything arrives. I should have everything by next week. |

Here's my e-mail exchange with HIPRO POWER. I don't think I'm going to use their bulbs afterall.
Dear buyer, Thanks for your message. Normally it will not burn your stock housing. However we do suggest you purchase wire harness to be 100% protect your stock housing form burning because even your stock bulb still has chance to burn your housing too. Thanks. > I'm interested in your H7 5900K 100W HID bulbs. My BMW uses 55W bulbs > and I'm afraid the 100W bulbs will draw too much power and potentially > damage the wiring harness and/or overheat the plastic lens assembly. |

Ok, to make things even more confusing, I contacted e92-lighting to see if they had a recommendation. Here's Derrick's reply:

![]() These should work for the fogs: http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...WHIT-46-0.html They're also the 7500k, just H11 instead of H7. |

My recommendation would be a MTEC 4350K bulb. Once you start getting cooler than that the light output decrease significantly. No halogen bulb will match exactly but the 4350 or 4500k would be a much better look then stock.
Also do not go higher wattage because that could cause serious problems |
