G5 logs of E85/93 Vs just 93
Did a comparision of logs with E85/93 and just plain shell 93 (sucks LOL!!) Taking car to dealer and want 93 only in the tank. Well needless to say E85 really does a lot as you can see by the logs. Car just felt sluggish in comparsion. For the G5 logs I had a 38/62 mix. My car throws fuel pressure codes if I mix higher and throws lean codes if I disable open loop...but with a 35-38 mix it lets auto mapping do its thing. I used to be able to run a buit higher but had no higer boost and timing was the same. With 93 only timing was not great and boost dipped to 12-13 and barely made 16-17 (run 2 was not so lucky) and for a short time. With E85 boost was held higher at 17-18 and dipped down to 15 and went right back up...pretty awesome. I have done back to back runs on the G5 E85/93 mix and logs stay the same.
E85/93: Shell 93 only run #1 Shell 93 only run #2

looks like fun.
Why does AFR look to be the same between the E85 mix and Gas only logs?? The 'Box is supposed to change AFR with E85? Could you post the actual .csv file? |

Rob, RBs have a proven track record of reliable service. The HP projections on the single from Vishnu look amazing and I beleive that there is one car out there already, however, there are prob 15 RB turbo cars posting nothing but positive results. If you want to have the fastest Bimmmer a couple days out of the year, go for the single until we all get more feedback. Otherwise, enjoy a warranty as the RBs are undetectable when all other mods are removed.

Well that and the RB power cover looks more usable to me than the single. You will be faster for a lower peak HP with RBs compared to the single. Your spool is also going to be quicker.

Ummm, That doesn't really matter or apply. If the JB4 were showing real AFR it'd be wayyyy different since E85 Stoich (1 Lambda) is 9.75:1 AFR. So- Mike claimed Lambda changed when running E85.... Since the JB4 is still displaying gasoline AFR, it will reflect the changes in lambda. Judging from the logs above- it looks like lambda did not change from the user running E85. |

Also, you would have to leave BMS and go over to the Vishnu camp. Many have tried it, most have come back. Don't get me wrong, Vishnu has a real winner put together with their single set up, but I have a feeling that most cars built that way would not be considered daily drivers. If you want a race car, the single should put out upto 800hp. So new trans set up, a whole new car build, undertested, underproven. Give Vishnu 2 years to get the bugs out and by then BMS will have a handle on the guys that insist on converting the n54 to a single. Why not get a supercharged m3?

Haha, this either has to be a good joke, or you are obviously trolling. It wouldn't be so bad if what you said was even close to reality or factual. |
