SMD in Hong Kong w/ Shiv (Pictures)

August in Hong Kong is a brooding month. There is relentless heat, humidity and random bursts of downpour. On this particular Sunday we experienced the later in full glory.

I picked up a very sleepy Shiv at 5:30am as a thick grey mist was setting over the city. By the time we arrived at the meeting point it was raining so hard we couldn't even get out to say hi to each other and discuss the route. There was a little bit of confusion as we were heading out and a M coupe was left with it's bumper detached from the fender. Not ideal.

A total of about 16 cars started the drive towards the boarder of Hong Kong and China. The Heaven's really decided to open up at that point, and what was supposed to be fun, spirited excursion turned into a tense 70 km/h crawl.

When we finally arrived at our destination, the rain started to ease up and we got out and had breakfast together in a little Thai Restaurant. The fun began when we got back to carpark, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves

Damn, missed out! Looked like a fantastic event... Who owns the lambo, saw it going through west tunnel once, sounds orgasmic.

The Aventador is my second car

A whole bunch of exotics descend upon that place every Sunday morning. It was insane, I think we saw a total of 5 McLaren's.

Anyway, we missed you Scflaw. Needed some Cobb representation! There were 5 Procede cars, 1 Cobb, and 1 JB4.

I think it's cool that Shiv is in HK, but the cars are all right hand drive! Has the single turbo kit been engineered for the right hand drive cars? Or is that what you are working on while he's there? Thanks for the pics, looks like a lot of fun. Wish I could be there. Enjoy!!!

One of us will probably need to volunteer to have our car shipped to across the Pacific if they're going to make the kit for right hand drive vehicles. Most of us in HK are tune only, and we simply don't have enough room to lay down all the power to its full potential. You guys in the US are spoiled with limitless space. Shiv did have a look at the steering column placement while he was doing some E85 sensor testing on my car, and apparently it shouldn't be too difficult to retrofit the kit they've already developed.
