Going to Replace all speakers.
I have the basic stereo system. Which is not the HI-FI or the Logich 7. I want to replace all six speakers. I wanted to know which speakers I can fit, and which are the ones that I need to buy or replace. I dont understand much about coaxials or component speakers or crossoevrs and such. I only know that my stock stereo doesnt have an amp, instead its the one which is powered by the headunit.

im not sure which drivers will fit but how much are you willing to spend? components will give you the best sound, coaxials(two or more) will give you better sound over single drivers. crossovers are used in component setups to seperate the high and low freq's(example....bass)

well....lets try to make this easy.....you want a car for sound quality or something more of the lines of big bass? you don't have to spend a lot to have a good sounding setup, you just need to know your options. for subs, i highly suggest Image Dynamics. any of there subs will be fine. 12's are as low as 150 all the way up to 500 with full factory warrenty. im planning to get the idq myself but im waiting on the 3rd version to come out in about two months. speakers....dls, dyn, image dynamics, seas lotus, etc...amps....dls, butler, mcintosh, arc, zapco, brax
so many options out there....let me know if you need more help |

the morel elate 6" three way components fit great into the front of the car if you have the factory sub. they include a 6" sub, a 54mm midrange driver for the door, and a 23mm tweeter. i would not do a coaxial speaker as they won't fit properly in the doors. as far as amplifier options go, for small case and light weight with great sound quality, Audison amps have always done me very well. have installed then in everything from BMW and Mercs, to Ferraris and Bentleys.
i am working on a E92 335i now, will post pics when complete |
