E90 coming off factory warranty soon, anything I can ask for?

My 2009 335xi is coming off factory warranty in a month. It is about 9,000 miles away from the next oil change, which I will not reach in the next 30 days or so. The car is CPO, so I am not overly-concerned with having zero coverage in 30 days.

But I am wondering, is there anything that I should be asking to be "looked at" or outright "replaced" under factory warranty before it is gone?

The only two items that were not in the Green checklist column from the last checkup, were the battery and I believe the rear brakes. Both of those were in the Yellow.

Can I demand that the battery is replaced, or the rear brakes replaced, if they still within tolerances? I don't even know what a Yellow checkmark for a battery means. Not holding charge? Simply the age of it?

I would be more concerned with asking about things that are covered under factory warranty, but not under the CPO (gold) warranty afterwards. I, like anyone else, would want to get whatever stuff replaced with new if I could, before it's too late!

Thoughts?

I think battery and pads are normal wear items not covered by either warranty (if they don't fail at premature mileage) or CPO.

I had the car only under CPO, and pretty much every possible failure that happened to me was covered by the CPO (electric issues with airbags, door actuators, engine gasket blowoff, etc), it seems to be pretty thorough.

Battery is covered if it fails within the warranty period. Brake pads (& rotors) are covered under maintenance only if worn beyond spec.

So unless some other warranted component has failed, there's not much point in asking for warranty replacements.

That's about what I figured. The brakes and battery will most likely need replacing when it costs me the most out of pocket heh.

I suppose I should be cheering for things NOT to fail and have a healthy car instead. But there's always that nagging feeling that something will implode 11 minutes after the warranty ends...

brake fluid change. It's changed from the fill date, which is less than the 2 years from when you bought the car. You might be able to get 2 brake fluid changes covered.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I have a high-speed vibration that I cant pin down. Hits around 60-70mph. My first guess was a wheel weight. However a car wash with a wheel track grabbed the wheel and turned it hard while dragging my car along (also ate the left front rim, dug deep gouges in it. another story.) and I am wondering if that screwed the alignment.

I am going to take it to a Pep Boys for a 4-wheel alignment with printout ($75 versus $225 the dealer wanted) but if that doesnt show anything, all 4 wheels will get rebalanced.

Brake fluid change is sort of low on the totem pole but I will give it a shot. With the vibe at 60mph I was going to go in there and say a half shaft bearing is bad and I want them replaced..dunno how that would fly...

luckily two weeks before my cpo and maintenance went out my cbs said i needed am oil change. i told my SA that this would be the last time i would be coming in and if he could do whatever he could for my car. i told him i had squeeky brakes and that if he could pressure wash my engine bay. i had an oil change done, pressure washed engine, front brakes replaced, and had a scope check performed. just ask nicely for them to see if they can change anything as far as maintenace if you have maintenance warranty. good luck.
