MP3 Cd with directories
How can I burn an MP3 cd that will have seperate directories?..
I used Itunes succesfully but it puts all the files into one directory and I would like to set up a few (maybe by artist) that idrive will recognize. I tried creating folders and burning the MP3s as data but that did not work. Could someone give me instructions on the best way to do this? Thanks in advance.. (not getting the Ipod option was a mistake...).. |

Use Nero or Roxio. It's fairly easy. Make directory, click and drag the mp3s you want over.

Huh, with iTunes, doesn't automatically put each file in separate folders? Mine always does and I have to physically take each song out I want and put them into 1 folder by itself and burn it with the PC's software. I haet having separate folders. I would much rather have all the songs in order so I can play them on random......
To get it the way you want, you may have to organize your Music folder by Artist name then Album, then the song......Use Itunes to burn and should give you what you want....GL

Just create the playlist and then sort by Artist. See http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60931 I have found that id3 tags, i.e. names of songs, etc., transfer better via iTunes than via Roxio (which seems to put in lots of underscores, etc. instead of spaces). Mike
