Procede 5v power loss symbol
Whenever I start up my car the half engine power loss symbol in yellow comes up. After a few seconds it goes away and I notice no issues. Also, sometimes when at WOT I will get the same symbol but the car seems to drive the same and the symbol goes away after I slow down and resume normal driving for a minute. Also, the car doesn't have any codes if I try and read them when I get home. I have Rev 2.5 upgrade.
UPDATE: I finally bought a code reader. With the check engine light on and the half yellow engine power reduced symbol on I ran a check and my OBDII reader says that there are 0 codes. What could be causing this? UPDATE: I am now starting to wonder if my procede is even working correctly? It does the normal start up sequence but after using the procede boost gauge it seems that I amd only reaching about 8 or 9 pounds of boost...is this correct? Should i try uninstalling and reinstalling or is it even possible for it to be hooked up incorrectly and the car still drive? Last edited by colt9987; 08-27-2012 at 04:12 PM.. |

Can you confirm that your car is running stronger than stock when you got WOT? If so, the procede is working and you should use it as your code reader. An OBD code reader is not going to work if you have the procede installed.

Even if I have a code on the dash an OBD reader cant read it with procede? I would use Procede as code reader but I have a mac that isnt bootcamped.

Many generic OBD code readers don't have the software to see all the BMW codes. There may be manufacturer specific codes that they can't see.
Otherwise you should be able to read codes with the ignition ON (all gauges on, lights on the dash, Service Engine Soon light ON steady) but the engine NOT running. The Procede doesn't hijack the CAN bus until the engine is running and you're in any map other than 0. With the engine running in Map 0 there is no CAN bus hijack, and any code reader or diagnostic tool can see everything normally.

Funny thing OP is that I just switched to a procede 2 days ago from cobb and I have the same issue. SES blinking 6 times (vin lock right)? but it keeps doing the 6 blink sequence non stop, and boost only shows 8lbs and car smells funny. When I go wot in DS it does a crazy down shift into 4th on M/S. I slapped it on as a v4 without updating to v5 because I didn't have a usb serial. Car pulled hard, no codes. Uploaded v5 after getting the cable but wasn't sure what rev 2a, 2.5....(person I got it from didn't know either). So I uploaded 2.5 and then this stuff happens. Put the rev2 map and same thing.
DEFINITELY BUMMED and scared i'm not running right, smells very lean. ANYONE?

Yea, sucks that half of the rev2.5 and rev3 owners are stuck with a VIN lock and half are not. Same product, but luck of the draw dictates if you have to pay $150 to unlock.

I have the sliver box with the serial cable and had to get a usb for it. If it was vin locked initially then when I put it on without updating first, the car pulled. when I updated to v5, stock boost. and the vin lock 6 SES light thing is flashing. There are just too many frikkin versions... and rev this n that. I was thinking I screwed up the right rev map to load thats why it started feeling funny. Gonna uninstall and put my p30ff cobb back on. I can send the box to vishnu for them to reset it? Don't mind the $150 knowing that car wont break or tranny gone..

I bought the product new from yall and sent it in to be updated to REV 2.5 with the aggressive stage 1 maps later and thats when the problems came about. Should I send it back to you guys to make sure everything is correct with the procede?
