ahhhhhh my poor PC

damn i was getting ready to do a quick wax job on my wifes car, and i was grabbing my PC i guess it slipped out of my hand and took a 10ft drop it doesn't seem to want to work anymore

......kinda pissed since it cost 124bucks for a brand new one...I'm thinking of ebaying this for 20bucks

.....last time i checked home depot was selling these for $100 can anyone confirm that I think I'm going to buy a new one tonight then since its almost time a full zaino treatment for my car...

There's a store on Ebay called Arctic Tools. I bought mine there for $100, and it's worked perfectly so far. Pretty quick shipping too.

no luck i went to pep boy knowing they wouldn't have it, but didn't think it would kill me to just look, but they didn't have it either well they didn't know what it was actually

If you have a Harbor Freight by you, they might be your best bet.

If you go to Home Depot.com, Porter Cable shows up in 5 pages of search.

Try Lowes too if you're looking locally. Also remember the 7336c is the same unit as the 7424, but is coined as a sander. With a backing plate change it's the same thing. I've seen them as low as $60 at Lowes, which kills me b/c even at $100 the unit is below my cost.

lol You have a valid point but I still doubt you will find a home depot that carries one. They tend to be pretty consistent region to region.

Harbor freight may be worth a look but ours seems to carry mostly off brands.

How do you know they are consistent from region to region? Have you been to all of them? Or you just making that statement?

I have in fact seen Porter cables here in Home Depots in California. For example, Home Depots in Southern California don't carry products catered towards snow/cold weather for a reason, they simply won't sell.

I'd agree that they probably don't carry seasonal products but I did happen into a San Diego Home Depot just last month and no PC there. PC products but no 7424. I've also been to a HD in TX and they seem to carry the same basic stuff. It is a bit of a generalization to say they all carry the same thing, I'd just call before I bothered making the trip.

BTW - George at Detailed Image hooked me up and treated me right.
