things to come for the n54
hey all, i'm always back and forth between the e36 f/i board and here. My love for boosted BMW's started with the n54 and has moved 'backwards' to older model.s
Here is Maximum Psi's latest creation for the e36 chassis. I'm so in love with this setup, i need to sell some kidney's or something soon. Twin scroll dual WG's 3.5 intake 6466 turbo but can take larger no need for a scavenge pump keeps a/c This should be a quick spooling 800whp setup that is shop owner Mike Radowski's 9 second 155mph+ street driven e36 in the background. If your on the east coast make it the 23rd of this month (next week) to MIR for the Bimmerfest East drag rental to see his car plus many others kill it. the n54 isn't far behind this as Shiv has really stepped it up, more to come i'm sure.

I think Mike has gone sub 9.6 and over 155mph. Full weight street car. Here he is: and a test drive in Mike's car with a 700whp, 199mph texas mile owner (car should be ~215mph but ran out of gear at the 3/4 mark) bad language

Can the block even handle that kind of power?

total speculation at this point, unless someone has cracked a block and not reported it.

actually the n54 is a bit more amazing. The rest of what is bolted onto the engine is a different story.

Haha yeah good call. Once we get a fuel pump and injector upgrade things will get real crazy real fast. I can't wait to see the first n54 with upped fuel pump and injectors running 100% e85 with a gt35r bolted to it!

My e30's wheel was like that for about a month, then when I got into my 1er I was so used to driving the crooked wheel that I would occasionally drift off to the right because in my head the steering wheel was straight hahaha

he just put it on off center, fixed after the video. I dont think it was a planned video session, dropping a client off at the airport if I remember correctly.

That's a sick E36 lol.
I too one day would love a DD 700whp N54 full weight It's nice to enjoy the luxuries of your car and still beat the pants off of anyone who comes next to you! |

Well I don't think the single that shiv has on his is that much smaller than a GT35R. Judging from the pics of the mani, I would say you should be able to fit it in there.

This is basically the same setup that HPF tried with the N54 but found out real quick they needed to keep the primary O2s split. This is a nice setup for the e36 and it makes stupid power. Block is good for about 800 hp... Way too much fun!

That one of the 3 fastest BMWs I’ve seen at MIR; BoBsbmw and Boris are the other 2
I wish there were more single turbo options on the market for the n54. I’ve been on the fence trying to decide if I wanna go with the Vishnu 58mm kit or wait for something else. With that being said, it would be cool if the new M3 used a variant of the n54 and the manifold, turbos and injectors are interchangeable. |
