FS: 1 Bridgestone RFT 255/35/18 (take off from my 189's)
Full Disclosure: $140
I replaced this tire due to a vibration that it caused right at 30 mph. My wheel and tire combo would balance fine on the machine and 95% of time it was perfect, but at apprx 30 mph with the radio off+windows up I could feel and hear a slight thump-thump-thump. It was only really noticeable in the evenings after the ambient temps cooled down, so I bumped up the psi to 40 and this actually helped a lot. Still though, I'm anal about stuff like this and it was still bothering me, even if only an intermittent issue. Had the tire dismounted/rotated 180 degrees on the wheel and rebalanced.. again the problem was lessened. So much so, that for about a week I thought I had solved it. But the noise came back after the week's worth of daily driving so I finally broke down and replaced it today. (Heat cycles I imagine) The tire has a solid amount of tread left. I'll measure it exactly tmrw, but you can get an idea from this pic ![]() I paid $440 for the new one with tire protection, so I think this could be of use to someone who's not as ridiculously picky as me... like $300 less picky haha. I'll sell it for $140 to anyone who wants to pick it up. It would be fine for tracking or even someone without the stiff sport susp my coupe has I bet. I would like to sell it locally and avoid shipping initially, but if there's no buyer local I'll look into shipping. If you're local you can even mount it up (at your cost of course) and try it out to make sure it's not totally obvious on your car. Just don't steal my super cheap/probably not that messed up tire ![]() |
