Ebay Pre-LCI m3 rep bumper review

Someone ran into my bumper in the parking lot so I took the opportunity to change up the look. I was going to order through the vendors on this forum but hesitated due to the fact that they all come with the headlight washer, which I don't want. I came across an ebay listing from EuroPartsAutoStore and found that they have the m3 rep without the headlight washers. I took a chance with them based on these reasons:

1. Bumper comes exactly the way I want: no PDC, no headlight washer.
2. PU instead of fiberglass crap.
3. Includes all grills and fog light housings.
4. They are local, 15 miles from me.
5. Got a nice discount because I was picking up.
6. Very responsive communication.

So I dropped off the bumper at the body shop together with a new set of 9006 bulbs and a week later got my car back. The body shop never said a word about the bumper which, to me, is a testament of how uneventful it was to install it. And that's a good thing. I'm no expert but it looks great with everything lining up correctly. All the gaps are even and the kidneys stay snug.

I'm quite happy with the outcome and highly recommend these guys, especially if you're local.

Looks awesome, seems a lot of folks goin this direction. Mine is currently in the shop getting painted, can't wait for it to be done. You should put some 3M clear protection tape on it, protect that investment from rock chips!

Thanks so much for the quick review....I have this bumper on my ebay watchlist for the past 3 months, now I am finally not worried about fitment etc anymore from those guys....considering it's about $ 100+ cheaper than elsewhere...
Thanks!

They are in City of Industry. About 20 miles east of downtown LA. Send them questions through ebay and they will let you know the address.

Glad it helps and hope all works out for ya. They have mtech as well. Unlike some resellers on the forum, these guys are wholesalers and import directly from Taiwan. That's why they have better pricing.

Sorry bud. I didn't want to post until I have it installed and verified the fitment.

Wow...crazy. I would think vendors selling these bumpers should be a little worried if they're that much cheaper.

I just want to clarify though...

"2. PU instead of fiberglass crap." > What is PU? And all the "Other bumpers" are fiberglass?
3. Includes all grills and fog light housings. > There are "Other bumpers" that don't come with these parts?

PU = poly urethane. The same material as OEM bumpers. I believe all the m3 reps I've seen are PU. But there are other designs that are made of fiberglass or "Duraflex".

I've seen some listings on ebay and craigslist that don't come with fog light housings. IMO it is important to verify before ordering. Just being a smart consumer.

OK...just wondering

When I say "Others" I was referring to vendors/OEM...I was thinking that's what you were referring to...

Looks good! I am thinking about doing this to my 330i

How much was the bumper, labor? Where are they located in CA?

Thanks

They are in City of Industry. About 20 miles east of downtown LA. I'll PM you the price I paid. Don't want to piss off the vendors on here.

Glad you made this review! Now that I know they're so close by, you've got me thinking about getting a new bumper too. Could you PM me pricing on painting and installation based on your experience?

Insurance paid for my entire job so I wouldn't know pricing for just the bumper paint/install. But I can ask the body shop for you. I'm meeting him later to get my license plate back so I will PM you tomorrow.

Thanks for the review. I just ordered mine. Hope everything goes well. I'll just add my review here once I get mine painted and installed.

EDIT: BTW where did you get 9006 bulbs?

UPDATE:

Ok I got mine painted and installed a few weeks ago but forgot to add my review to this thread..

Not much to say but . The seller is awsome! Replies quick, ships fast, very helpful and answered all my questions. The best part is the price. $350 shipped! The only thing I was bummed out about was when they forgot to ship the foglights with the bumper which delayed the install. But they sent it out and I recieved it in like 2 days.

Anyway here are a couple of pic's. Fitment and quality is great! I got the bumper with headlight washers.

Oh BTW I changed my 5000K HID fogs to 3500K. I know some may not like yellow but I live in Washington where it rains and fogs 9 months out of the year.
