OC/LA Angel Eye Install

I have a 328i E90 2007 (Pre-LCI), and need to install H8 bulbs, and because I'm no DYI freak, I'm willing to pay someone to get these installed, Im in OC area near Fullerton/Brea/La Habra area. Thanks.

Hate to break it to you, but H8 bulbs won't fit in PreLCI e90s for AEs.

So you're telling me I can't replace my OEM H8 bulb?

You don't have an H8 bulb.

It's an H11 IIRC

I guess I should tell the Service crew at Shelly BMW in Buena Park, they gave me the wrong bulb for my BMW 328i. Call it the Angel Eyes or what not, but the bulb that sits behind the circular ring like lamp is blown out. Whatever bulb that is, I need it replaced, and they are charging me $260.

For your Angel eyes, you'll need the Pre-LCI specific bulb, the most popular are the Mtec V3 and the LUX 5.2. H11s are used for the regular foglights and 9006-55w for mtec.

I guess when the dealership told you that you need H8 bulbs, they confused it w/ the LCI(09+) 328i or the Pre-LCI e92.

For all the compatible bulbs on each model, e92-lighting.com has a full list found here

It's best to always give your VIN number to the parts dept.

99% of the time, without it, they have no idea what part to give you.

Most Dealerships, unfortunately, do not have a very competent staff... without their manuals and part booklets, they don't know what you will need. It's understandable to a degree considering how many different models they need to work on...

What did they charge you for the H11 bulb?

I know H8s are usually like $20 if you don't go to a place that rips you off

Thanks, but this post was getting old and wanted it done already. That was like 2 weeks ago and your comments weren't helping about me not having H8 bulbs (not an H11 IIRC either) but a link or a suggestion would be been better instead of waiting til someone else helped me in getting this done and then commenting you could of done it.
