Magners out of a tin...what a load of shit.
i know it sounds a bit carl but its a genuine piece of advice
i love magners from a bottle with ice, lovley taste, nice quiet buzz second favorite drink after vodka. now then im sat in tonight ( baby tucked up in bed) as the mrs is on hols so i thought id have a drink. went to the supermarket and they didint have the bottles, and had a tempting bogof offer on 8 pack Magners tins, so obviously i got some, got home put the lad to bed while the tins were chilling, sorted my ice out, got a DVD ready (no not porn) crack open a tin to savour a well earned drink ( ive done 6 days on my own mith my 19month old lad) take my first mouthfull.......what the fuck!!!! it tastes like the smell when youve got rotten food at the bottom of a bin....disgusting. to say im pissed off is an understatement. So then dont buy the cans.....

Good advice even though I dont 'do' cider. And well done for the childcare thing, in my view that is above and beyond what is expected of a good dad!!!! Your Mrs owes you big time.
Now crack open a bottle of vodka! |

In a mini bus on the way to a stag weekend a little while back we sent a guy in for loads of bottles of Magners only for him to return with a case of tins as they were "cooler"
The words "fcuking" and "twat" were put together and shouted at him everytime a new can was opened by someone. A dash of Blackcurrant will help a little |

i dont car how much it costs, it tastes nice. its very refreshing, and i like the way i get drunk on it. that advert was probbably put together from a Lager producer who's having a hard time because so many people have switched.
I dont know one person whos tried it that does not like it, even my mum and shes 72 EDIT: actually from a rival cider maker........boohooo

what pisses me off about this drink is the fact it is sold as "irish". if you ask me cider is the only really english booze, and its been hijacked!
its lovely, but the apples are grown in england and shipped over to ireland for manufacturing. hell, even those adverts you see on the TV are filimed in england. so "irish cider" is a bit misleading, with the guy in the irish accent on the adverts too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magners I've got a lot of relatives in eire and both my parents are irish too... so i am not anti-irish at all. i need to get out more |

I usually keep a couple of bottles of Marks & Spencer Organic Cider in the fridge. Very refreshing stuff.

All this talk of cider has had a subliminal effect. I rarely buy the stuff, but found myself with two bottles in the trolley today, one Magners and one of Thatchers vintage. I shall try one shortly.

I have never tryed magners, only Bulmers and that was a few years back when i visited Ireland for a week. Fell in love with the drink quite honestly. I was wandering if Magners is the same drink with just a diffrent name. Must agree with you on the, the fuck is this, part with the can part though. Bulmers in a can would be more or an insult to the drink then calling a hard working man lazy.

I like most ciders, in fact most alcoholic drinks.
This one is good for a tipple and will soon sort the men from the boys. Pretty damn strong and expensive for a beer though. http://www.brewdog.com/sink_the_bismark |

If you like inflicting vicious hangovers upon yourself i recommend Westons Vintage, a few bottles of that and I cant feel my face and I usually wake up on the kitchen floor with the dog
