30FF code after Intake valve cleaning by Dealership

So last week I got my 57K mile 2007 car's intake valves cleaned because I was getting hesitation at WOT at the track last month. For a few days the car was running really strong. Now today I decided to push it a bit and at middle of 3rd with rpms >2500 I can only get boost to max out at ~7 psi with Procede Rev 2.5. The car feels sluggish and no hesitation just like it has no boost. Then I got yellow 1/2 CEL. BT code says 30FF. I managed to get the 1/2 CEL to go away with restart and logged with Procede. Funny thing Procede showed no codes. Here is the log.

Any ideas where I should look first given the recent intake valve cleaning?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Connection of CP to throttle body and CP to FMIC would be my first guess.

Could also be worn out gaskets : manifold to engine. Unlikely because they would have replaced it

Yeah,...I know. I think I found it. I have the ER Charge pipe. I had firmly pushed everything but never saw this till Marv85 recommended the CP area. Here is what I found...

Dumbasses!! Its ALMOST comical......but not really.

Thanks guys. Now I need the car to cool down so I can fix it.

How much did you end up spending on the intake cleaning?

At least you found it, and it's an easy fix

I have the 30ff code also but mine just magically appeared after no changes to my car in months.

Glad to see it was an easy fix for you.

I'm in the same situation. I've been getting 30FF and car not being able to hold boost. Now out of nowhere it works again! which sucks because you never know when it pops out. I;m not sure what to do at this point. but i have the feeling it's vacuum control/Wastegate related and not a boost leak.

I appreciate the input guys. Yes it was easy in theory but took me nearly 90 min just to wrangle the damn thing in place again. Every time I tightened it it would slip off again. Feels solid now!

As for your boost leaks that are intermittent I would look at the vacuum lines to your DV or boost gauge. Or the DV themselves. I had an intermittent problem and found these were loose...not off completely but loose.

As for taking to the dealer to have them fix it, well that would have taken more time than it would for me to fix and they probably still would not have cared to tidy things up.

We will see if tomorrow its fixed when I test.

Thanks again guys.

Thanks for the advice, I'll check the DVs... I'll check anything at this point!
