Show me your wrapped interior trim
Could you please post photo's of your wrapped interior trim? I've decided I'm going to have a go at wrapping mine.
I'm undecided on what colour to use and could do with some inspiration. I'm thinking brushed aluminium or titanium. Maybe piano black or silver carbon fibre? I've read that 3m vinyl is the way to go. There is loads of 3m vinyl wrap available on eBay but is this stuff genuine 3m material? I would prefer to buy from a shop which is an authorised seller to be sure. Does anybody know of anywhere? Here's how the interior looks now |

no worries
i bought it from ebay and got a large sheet which cost me around £25 which was more than enough! very happy with the quality of the vinyl, its been on the car 8 months and not a single problem with it! very easy to mould into shape just heat it up a little and stretch!!

P 5MUL, excellent job.
Toughest one is top of the ashtray and silver strip on that. P 5MUL, good thinking as you covered that with CF as well. I need to re-do my ashtray sometime.

wrapped mine in gloss black 3m scotchprint. £20 or so from ebay.
I really like the gloss black, but seeing some various pics around the forum im liking other options too (carbon fiber, brushed metals, etc). Very easy to do, just takes a bit of time if you're a perfectionist. like makkan said most trickiest bit is the ash tray and the silver strip. i didnt really find the need to use a hair dryer but it does help to soften the vinyl. best thing to do is, take off one of the door-card trims (10 sec job) and have a go at that. |

Hi ctch22,
Yes, I was thinking of doing the rear door strips first and leaving the trick ash trays until last. My friend has a heat gun so that should help. I found it difficult enough fitting a screen protector to my iPhone without leaving air bubbles! I've just order a couple of samples of 3m scotchprint from eBay. Black glossy carbon and anthracite carbon. They're coming from Poland so hopefully they won't take too long to arrive. |

I used matt black for contrast against cream. Came out much better than expected.
I didn't find ash tray too hard. Just use a sharp blade and steady hand. I found the long dash bit hardest as I went sparingly on the vinyl so had to stretch it a lot. |

What are people's opinions on this colour? It's 3m scotchprint gloss anthracite. Does anybody know where I could buy this colour wrap from in the UK?

All these threads on wrapping the trim has got me interested now! Ordered a few samples to see what looks best, just asked for normal carbon, gloss carbon and brushed aluminum. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out too
