Exhaust Rattle!!!!!

This rattle is driving me crazy! Every time I go over a bump, or those thick painted lines on the road, my exhaust rattles right underneath the center console.

This happened after I installed my VRSF downpipes, I have currently uninstalled/reinstalled them several times which is BY NO MEANS easy.

I absolutely cannot find where they are rattling from, they seemed to be hitting each other so I wedged a large washer in-between them to hold them apart.

Still didn't fix the rattle and now I'm stumped

Can anyone help me find this rattle? Pics would be GREATLY helpful!

did you check if the exhaust itself it hitting the chassis brace in the center of the car? sometimes dps can shift the exhaust down lower, resulting in it hitting that brace.

also did you check the front dp isnt hitting the bolts on the motor mount on the engine? and that the back dp isnt hitting the heat shield in any way?

some pics of the exhaust by the chassis brace and dps around engine will definitely help narrow down where your rattle is coming from

Check the rest of the CBE & did you make sure the V-band clamps/DP Gaskets were properly installed? Also might be the DPs rubbing against each other (vibrating noise when you go over bumps)

I will do some more investigation on the situation.

I forgot to mention my exhaust is also aftermarket but was not rattling prior to DP's.

Also on the stock exhaust there is some kind of clamp thing that I did not transfer over to the new exhaust.

after 5 months with the rattle, i finally fixed mine it was pain, but you just need to work through the system until you find the contact point. Loosen the v-clamps, the exhaust at the collectors and the main hanger and then readjust. My front DP was hitting the subframe and finally got it fixed.
