Zaino Question

I just did the Zaino detail process over the weekend and after putting on the three coats of Z2 Pro & ZFX I noticed streaking once i got it out in the driveway in the sun. like you could see where the z2 was.. is this just a case of it not being dry or did i do something wrong?

I would look at Zaino's website and read some of the FAQs and Tips/Tricks. It sounds like you probably put too much on there. It takes very little when you apply. Also, it's possible you didn't let it haze enough before wiping. What I'd recommend doing now is going over each area that's not looking right with your Z6 Quick Detailer and a nice microfiber cloth.

Yeah, sounds like you used too much and didn't get it all off. Usually the Z6 or 8 will wipe it off. It could also be one of those two, if you used them and they dried.

To do 3 coats, how much did you mix in the little bottle? You can almost get 3 coats out of 1/2 a bottle.

Yeh probably just didn't let it try. I give it at least 45min in between coats. And did you use z6 in between each coat? Because this should have eliminated most of the streaks.

Whoops. My first Zaino this past weekend I used 1 oz per coat No wonder it was so hard to buff out. But yeah, the Z6 in between each coat got rid of any streaks/residue.

What others have said, either used too much or didn't let it dry long enough. Did you use the ZXF with your Z2 or Z5?

I have been using Zaino for about 5 years now and I just love the stuff. Here are a couple of pics of my Corvette and S4 after Zaino.

Zaino can be deceiving. It looks like you are doing nothing to the car in certian lighting conditions, but if you catch the sunlight at just the right angle, you can see the polymer spreading out and covering your surface area.

I love the final result.. it came out amazing! The streaks finally did go away after awhile.... i do wish it was more visible since it makes it easier to see what i missed but ill take the good with the bad haha..

i do have to give huge props to their tire dressing.. lasted through heavy rain yesterday and its still shiny today..

ill have to perfect my skills in 6months..

What is necessary for a Zaino job? I've looked on their site and seen the kit they sell. Is that all that is needed to do the full Zaino job?
