Welcome Lights - 2006 E90 Sedan
I did a bit of research on why our E90's don't have welcome lights when we unlock our cars and how people have attempted to make this happen.
I still haven't found a set answer and was wondering if anybody has (if so, please post the link for everybody or explain thoroughly with pictures) I've heard that BMW's new software update no longer has the welcome lights programmed, I've heard you just can't do it, and a bunch of other things that came from people who clearly have no idea what they are talking about (not sayig I do); BUT my friend rewired some stuff to get welcome lights on his e46 and he thinks it would work on my car... Well, everybody knows that the dome lights come on when you unlock your car, --> Without specifics, what he did was basically steal power from the dome lights and wire it up to the angel eyes so when you unlock the car, the angel eyes come on with the dome lights. ---I feel like there would be some kind of error code or just some reason that it wouldn't work or it would cause other problems. Does anybody see anything wrong with this? Last edited by changl99; 09-07-2012 at 04:37 AM.. |

This might help you. Other than replacing the footwell module + coding, this would be your other option.
