Yeah - have had bad hayfever since I was about 14.
It always seems to kick in when your playing sports a lot for school, and of course it makes exam time even more miserable. I've tried everything from natural pills (new era) to nasal sprays, Loratadine etc, but nothing really gets rid of it except for those nice Kenalog steroid injections they stick in your lower back. Problem is they won't give them to me anymore, as I had so many through the years they are worried about making my skeleton crumble. But I have to say - they stop it dead for me from within about two days of the jab, and last about 3-4 months each.

They are worried about cortico-steroids causing osteoporosis.
The can damage the density of bone tissue - hence risk of fractures and crumbling if on powerful steroids for a long time. Hence they told me I'd had enough of them after several years... Frankly if my hay fever had got any worse this year, I'd have been beggin like a crack addict for them to stick me...and to hell with the consequences.

Try a different brand of Hayfever tablet: Piriton, Clarityn etc. Also I tend to goto the work gym at lunchtime, and having a shower afterwards tends to help.

I agree.
I find that an acid tab under each eyelid works for about 6 or 7 hours. My nose may still be running but I dont give a fcuk as I am more worried about the huge banana with a moustache and sunglasses that keeps asking me stupid questions. ![]()
