*Now with Pics* - Noob official hello & first 'minor' mod
Hey guys,
Lovin' this site, looks like a good community. As per my hello in the newbies section, picked up my E92 320i LCI Le Mans Blue on Monday... really enjoying it so far. The 'minor' mod Noticed when I got the car the front plate was screwed on to the bumper at the top corners... why, I don't know. I have a 5 digit plate and have the smaller length plates (yes they are legal) but the holes were going to cause a problem. I ordered the following from Fleabay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25x-Plasti...item3f08c6c139 I then used wet dry sandpaper and keyed the face. Then sprayed a few coats of Le Mans Blue spray paint and clear coat. Then widened the drilled holes on bumper to 6mm and pushed in the now painted clip. Ended up like this, pretty happy with the finish and looks no worse than the parking sensor TBH. Also sprayed the tax disc holder to match while i was at it Also got rear lip to fit

Pics to come, its pis.. rained every day since I got it . Praying for a dry weekend. Mods in head so far... Debadge (Floss at the ready ) Spoiler (purchased ) Black Kidneys Painted Front splitters (can't find LCI ones for E92, I wondered if pre-LCI could be adapted???) Paint brake calipers/rotors black (how bad is rust on BMW calipers, even my Fiat wasn't this bad) Nut covers for wheels... more rust! (std on my Audi) Spacers for rear (maybe front) Lowering springs (although read reports Eibach Pro Kit doesn't lower 320i front enough.) Cheers

Sorry don't have full front pic...yet. I'll try and get one tomorrow. You could follow the same principle as I have used, although it may be more noticable with 4 holes. If it looks bad, stick a normal plate back on hiding the larger holes created. Not ideal, but least you tried. Why the hell do they need to screw them in, I thought twice was two times too many... four on the otherhand!

I know, it looks stupid and ruined a bumper!
the smaller plates look so much better, makes the car look bigger/meaner but the holes I just couldn't live with :S the back plate is held on by 3 long strips of doubled sided, couldn't they have just done the same on the front?

Looks nice, loving the mod as well!
I was considering moving to a sticky numberplate and this might provide me with the way to do it!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Aeroso...item4169f92513 Halfrauds will make up cans too there and then based on paint code. Good enough for minor cosmetic mods. In god's country mate... Scotland
