Door mirror broken

My sister's offside door mirror (E90 320) got clonked by a passing car (which didnt stop) and the black plastic glass surround is broken but the rest of the mirror is fine.
Can you buy just the black plastic part or are we looking a complete new door mirror ?

From RealOEM it look as if the black ring support can be bought separately . Does anyone know if this can be replaced from outside the door and without removing the door card etc?

I had to buy a whole new mirror surround when mine got knocked off, but mine is pre-lci so yours may just be the outside ring. If so you wont have to take the whole mirror off which is lucky.

The 'back' of the mirror is just a 'cap', it clips on and off. Not sure about the rest though.
