Bmw shop Harrisburg area?

I'm looking to get downpipes installed soon and im looking for a good shop to take my car to get them put on in the Harrisburg area. If anyone knows anything good in Harrisburg area, that would be great.

Or possibly Philly area?

Depends where in Harrsburg you are, I am more in the Lancater area but..

there is a nice little place in Bainbridge, right along the river. Jack's auto and Aero. he works on nothing but BMWs.... now he does seem a little more "old school" but they are an awesome garage, very clean. I take my car here for simple things, anything crazy or electronic related I'd prob take to the dealer though.

Not Harrisburg, but try Bimmerworks in West Chester...

On the N54 the catalytic converters are in the OEM downpipes. Thank you PA. It has to do with your County (?). I'm from Pittsburgh, more specifically Butler county. If I had a 335 I could get catless downpipes because Butler county does not have emissions. If I lived in Allegheny county I would have to take it to a shop outside of the county as Allegheny county has emissions testing along state inspection. As for emissions testing I believe Allegheny simply checks if car throws a code, not an actual exhaust test. So if I did have a 335 and lived in Allegheny, I get them installed in Butler and I still pass emissions.

Hm, not surprised, due to it being "illegal" but they are all about racing the older BMWs there, Jack's dad used to race BMWs in the 50s/60s/70s which is how they got started.

If you are willing to drive there is a place in ephrata I believe, they work on bmw, audi, merc, mini, vw etc... think it is like Huber auto or something?

We need a central PA meet

I'm pretty sure that's a federal law not state law(as what Jack's said) My car is registered in Ohio and in Ohio you have no emissions testing, not even a car inspection and he said it didn't matter.

Ephrate isn't too far of a drive, I called CBRD in York,PA and the guy quoted me $500.00 for the install and then he wanted $250 to put my car on a dyno. I'm no longer interested in going there

Yes, we do need a central PA meet. Everyone has them in Pittsburgh and Philly.
Maybe we should try and get one started

4 to 5 hours labor charge is typical for an N54 downpipe install. What was the rate per hour at the shop that quoted you $500? Maybe call him back and get him to clip an hour?

There some pics of my car… I do not drive on the TP a lot, I am on i83 a lot and back and forth between Lancaster/York all the time, with Harrisburg/Hershey area mixed in as well.

I have a “style” car that is pretty “common” … another guy from the reading area asked me if I was up in his area because he would always see a black on black e90 sedan…

Have some amber overlays for my headlights and want to get blacklines and MTECH angel eyes!

Oh, thought you meant Turn PIKE , ha, but yea I have been in that area, not too often though... about 6 months ago, I was in that area and Harrisburg (by the mall/bass pro shop) a lot but not so much as of lately.

Ha, but like I said, I don't have an "uncommon" color choice, ha.

I had mine installed at Aumillers Cameron Street Body Shop. I don't know how much they charge since my friend took care of it as he's a mechanic there, but they know how to do it.

check swedish motors (http://www.swedishmotors.com/), they may do it for you.

I have a e46 (that is for sale) and I just got a e90 335i xdrive monaco blue and would like to get the black window trim that is like yours. Did you buy it that way, buy oem, vinyl?
