Just needed a figure how long your stock struts/shocks held up once you slapped on the lowering springs.

if you lower with H&R sport or Eibach pro kit, stock struts will last a while... if you lower with H&R Race or Eibach Sportlines, stock struts will last no more than 3 months, then theyll start to sag and the ride will start to suck and be bouncy

You will be fine for a while, given how new the e90/e92 is I doubt many people have run into issues. Depending on your driving style and habits, expect to replace your shocks around 50k miles rather than 70-80k with stock. But again, that's not a definitive rule as I have seen customers go through shocks sooner and some last the life of the car.

All THREE of these post are all persuading me to get the H&r sport springs. I wish eibach came out with a prokit for the Xi's.
Thanks all!!

Other than blowing shocks, I'd worry about the handling dynamics. Often times you lower your car and you are actually hurting your handling because the stock shocks weren't made to go with your new spring rates.

I also went with H&R sport springs, and the ride has been great. i have the Sports package on my 330i, so I am hoping the shocls last me a long time.

if you're pulling the springs, you might as well do the upgrade shocks too
it's the same labor, you can go in there once, or have to go in there again later if the original shocks wear out. if you're trying to increase handling you should do both at the same time |

H&R sport springs give you a nice drop. I had no rubbing issues with running 265s in the rear on a 19x10 ET26 wheel using those springs.

Im hoping stock shocks will last a long time as well...Otherwise i'll try to see if i could come up with a good deal with a set of struts/shocks. Im not a track driver nor a rough driver. I do drive a lot so comfort would be nice and just a e90 just like all of you people.
