Passenger side (LHS) mirror problem

Hi Folks,

I have an issue with my passenger side mirror where it will not remain nor return to the exact setting that i have set it to. It will either be too high, low, left or right biased.

What do you think the problem is? And the associated solution for it?

It's really a PITA!

I had the same problem and the updated the software, which solved it for a week or so, but later it needed a new motor to fully fix the issue.

Tried this out today with the dielectric grease, took all of 10 mins to complete!

I tried placing into reverse with the auto dip feature a few times and it was successful in returning to set position on every attempt. Will keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks to see how it all holds up.

My mirror would go past it's normal position due to the "folding option", even my key fob would throw it off. After trying all of the above, I just cut the yellow wire going to the motor. No more folding mirror option, but now I don't have to fight that damn thing anymore.
