Hotel recommended in NYC
Hi guys
As i'm planning on a short trip to NYC, i need some suggestions on a good hotel over there! I'm looking for something nice! I am going with my girlfriend and i want something comfortable romantic! I'm used to high-class hotels. Not because i'm a millionaire but because i don't go often and when i go, i want something that is worth the travel... Location wise, something near tourist places and were we can feel save! Suggestions? THX

Loews Regency is pretty nice and upscale. Very romantic and center of tourist locations.
If you take her there, you will be knocking boots alot ![]() http://www.loewshotels.com/m/ |

The Waldorf Astoria on Park Ave. and 49th. I was there was week with two German girls (they were amazed) and it happened to be the same week as the United Nations General Assembly -- Obama and other world leaders stayed there. Place was flooded with security and diplomats.

def check out the ritz or the waldorf astoria. i know they're a little cliche, but they're definitely my two favorites. (i stay at the ritz any time i travel somewhere that there is one)
i also stayed at the w once and it was pretty cool and right where you'd wanna be

the W is quite nice. Its a bit far from times square but its downtown and your windows will most likely face the 9/11 memorial which is directly across the street. Its definitely a modern hotel and cheap cab fares to the nearby nightlife. Have fun in NYC!
P.S. Avoid Hotel Pennsylvania at all costs!!!

Some really good advice here
![]() ![]() I'm still deciding if i'm going in december or february... Christmas time is certainly very nice but i do have a lot of work during these times... You can book a hotel here from different catalogues and websites but i know that people that live there, always have the better insight ![]()

Flatotel
booked a room for $300. They had none left when we got there and they upgraded us to the $10,000/night penthouse. I have a video of it.

Man, the hotels are endless. Assuming you're on the younger side and looking for something trendy and not fit for royalty:
Gansevoort-Meatpacking or Park Ave http://www.hotelgansevoort.com/ http://www.gansevoortpark.com/ Trump Soho http://www.trumphotelcollection.com/soho/ Mariott Marquis, although not glamorous DEF. in the heart of everything. Revolving restaurant (crap) and lounge on the 52nd floor or something http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...riott-marquis/ Tribeca grand http://www.tribecagrand.com/ Great spot across the river into Long Island City but you would have to jump across the river everyday http://www.zhotelny.com/ Gramercy Park hotel http://www.gramercyparkhotel.com/ The Standard in Meatpacking disctrict (very young hip crowd) http://standardhotels.com/high-line Hotel on Rivington http://www.hotelonrivington.com/ The Kimberly hotel (good rooftop brunch spot) http://www.kimberlyhotel.com/ Shall I go on? Heres some great dining advice too: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ht=restaurants http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ht=restaurants Last edited by Tommy-G; 10-02-2012 at 04:33 PM.. |

The Peninsula is a good choice from my experience, its right on 5th Avenue.

I second the Peninsula. Its on the corner of 55th and 5th, right in the center of all the shopping and right near central park. It is a beautiful hotel, and is definitely one of the nicest in NYC. In the same neighborhood are the ritz and st. regis, which are on the other side of 5th avenue (also on 55th). I would stay away from the Rivington because the lower east side isnt exactly where I would want to stay if on vacation in NYC, although you should definitely visit. The hotels in the meatpacking district are more trendy, but much further from the main sightseeing you would probably want to do.
