Ordering my 2008 335xi Coupe today....
Hey fellers, I am ordering my coupe today. It is finally showing up on the BMW Canada systems.
I have been offline for the past 4 days moving so I just saw the option list when my internet came back up today.... I am going to order: 335xi Coupe Space Grey with Coral Red Leather

Ordered!
The 335xi Coupe is definitely in BMW Canada's sales system now with all the packages.
I ordered the Nav, Premium Sound, Premium Package and comfort access. No sports package since it comes just the 18" wheels and crappy run flats and sports seats. I am going to use the stock 17"s for snows and look for a set of light aftermarket wheels + performance tires for the summer. No pricing yet.....No leasing info yet. I suspect they are doing last minute adjustments to reflect the big difference in exchange rates between Canada and the US.

You did NOT get the Sports package? I thought most people agreed that the sports seats alone are worth it?

The car is German, and it comes from Germany. What does the exchange rate of CDN and USD have to do with it? Our dollar is so weak you'd think a 335 coupe would be 60k here. At just over 40k base, it's obvious the price is not determined by the exchange rate, rather by supply and demand.

The price for Canadian cars are low (relative to the Euro) versus most of the countries except the US. BMW Canada can't drop the price or they screw themselves on the residual values for all the cars leased in Canada.

Hey T Bone,
So, you are saying the dealerships should have the 08 options / packages at this time right? I ordered the 08 335i two weeks ago but there was no information at that time. I think I would call the salesperson tomorrow for these options. However, I really do not need / like the BMW assist. Do you have to pay the subscription for this feature? |

With that M6, I don't think waiting is going to be a problem! T Bone is the xi going to be your winter beater?

The option menus just popped up last Friday. But since I was moving houses, that had to take priority. Even my salesguy said he was expecting me at 9:00 am on Saturday. AFAIK, all 335xi Coupes in the GTA have been sold for the first run. Quote:
Not beater, a DD!!! I commute 130 km / day and I put a ton of miles on the M6 over the weekend so I need a DD. Why not the 335xi Coupe? BTW, I am using an X5 as a DD right now......Budds BMW treats it customers well and I am renting it until the 335xi comes in (came in handy for my move too!)

Just received an email from my salesperson this afternoon. T Bone is 100% correct, there will be 4 options available for the E92.
They added the BMW Assist with bluetooth technology to the premium package, and the Logic 7 and USB integration become the premium sound package. However, the BMW assist only offer 1 year free subscription and the rest of the years, we have to pay annual fees in order to have this feature activated. In other words, buying a premium package have to pay extra annual fees to one of included item. The rest of the individual items remain the same (exactly like 2007). I assume there will be no m-tech package for the 2008, only price increase from 1 to 2%. Last edited by MAZINGER; 08-03-2007 at 12:14 AM.. |
