335xi sport pkg + 18" wheels ... in Nov ED
Hi,
If I order a 335xi and the slot is mid Nov... will ordering the sport + 18" wheels be OK to get me to port? I could cut the 'touring' part of the vaca down and simply drive from Munich to port if the weather is bad. Is mid november 'safe' for the performance tires to get me to port? When the car arrives in Boston 6-8 wks later (xmas time), I'll drive the snow tires/wheels to the dealer myself before I drive the car away. ![]() Am I being paranoid, or is this a significant concern? Thanks! |

hey it's xi so it shouldn't be so bad. Even if it does snow, you can probably live with driving a bit slower. I think you'll be fine

Ya, the xi shouldn't hurt... but then again, for braking, it doesn't help either. I think the stock all season tires would be sufficient if I were taking it easy, even if there was some snow. I'm specifically concerned about the 18" performance tires, which aren't all season (I think).
