What is the right way to update a winkfp

Hi I have some questions about updating modules.
What is the proper way to update? Now do this:

Enter comfort mode
ZUSB entering the number of the module
then the VIN number of your car
Done
Programming
October
This is just a flash module or upgrade because they do not change anything except that is updated on a specified date
Something wrong there?
I want to upgrade modules: 6987900, 6984974, 9128184
SP-Daten 47.5

I do it in comfort mode.
My question is this flash its a module or update it because nothing has changed in the module?
