E90 Basic Maintenance
I'm new to Bimmer World, got a 2006 BMW E90 325i last week, now i'd like to know some basic info about maintenance like :
1- Engine Oil : BMW Synthetic Oil High Performance 5W-30 2- Oil Filter : ? 3- Coolant : ? 4- Air Filter : ? 5- Brake Fluid : ? 6- Washer Fluid : ? The only thing i know is the Engine Oil type, but have no idea about the other.. So what kind and brand should i use to keep my car running smoothly and what kind of Maintenance should i do except the ones i've mentioned ? |

Get the Mike Miller old school maintenance schedule
Google Mike Miller BMW.
Power steering fluid is Pentosin CHF I believe. Redline may be used for differentials and the manual transmission see there app. Washer Fluid peak -40 for cold climates its not read critical. Also change the cabin filter Mann is typical brand. The following sub forums are very useful http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 Last edited by ctuna; 11-05-2012 at 08:38 PM.. |

I suggest you look around the Forum for awhile, in the maintenance section, DIY section, and N52 section, and read up on all the questions you've asked. All of the information you seek, in great detail, is here and easy to find.
There's no need for us to re-hash it all for you in a readers digest version when you can get detailed info using the search function. The car and BMW may be new to you, but old hat for us and all your topics have been discussed ad infinitum. Read the owner's manual as well. And get a copy of the Bentley service manual. |
