335 just went nuts

So I was about to rip it off of a red light as it turned green, but my car decided to lose power. No cel but car isn't what it is. I'm getting the fan to turn on by itself and the temp shows red. WTF is this?! Temp was 220 until I turned off for 10 min then back on but still no power

Told you M -- Water Pump is probably fried. The fact that the fan is on means it's trying to cool the car down cause the water pump isn't doing it's job.

I'm pretty sure that the WP is only available from BMW at this time. We are starting to do more and more of them. Start saving your sheckles: the pump is about $540, and the thermostat housing, which you should change while you are at it, is another $120 or so. We get $300 for the labor. Not fun money, but you are dead in the water without it.

not bad, they didn't offer a kit when I needed mine. I paid $530 for the parts and $300 for labor

If your handy, you can change it yourself by following the DIY. I believe the hardest part is just getting to the pump.

It's not fun at all to change it out. 900-950 is a fair price to charge. Install takes 3 hours or so.
