What are OEM bumpers made of?!
I am contemplating on buying an M3 replica bumper for my 335i and saw vendors that sold them in polypropylene and polyurethane. Both claiming it is the same material as OEM.
Ok, I have gone through the search and google for this question. I have read threads and sites where they claim that oem bumpers are made of polypropylene, and then I came across sites that claim they are made of polyurethane. So my question is: WHAT ARE OEM BUMPERS REALLY MADE OF!?! Thanks =) |

I always thought OEM bumpers were made from ABS plastic.
However I can tell you that polypropylene is a great alternative. My front bumper as well as my sideskirts are both made out of it and I couldn't be happier after dealing with so many fiberglass parts over the years. Avoid fiberglass, it cracks easily because it's so rigid. Polypropylene feels like OEM and it's sturdy, strong, and flexible. |

it would be either polypropylene or urethane.
