Do Xenon bulbs "go off"

I was wondering if Xenons deteriorate with age. It could be that I am just getting used to them but I don't perceive the dipped beam on my 330d to be as bright as I would expect. The Xenon bulbs would be as old as the car itself now (2007).

They do. They tend to yellow, flicker and then die. If the main-beam is OK though then you have an aiming problem.

No problem with aim, just the level of brightness. It could be I am just getting used to them and taking them for granted.

Go drive a car with 'conventional' bulbs and you'll wonder how you ever coped without xenons...
