Installed JB4 and now getting 30FF
Spoke to Terry and sent him the csv files i have so he could take a look. This seems to happen when i get above the stock psi settings, so even happens on map1. Never happened before the JB4 install so im guessing the increased boost has caused a leak somewhere. Car dont hit boost target at all.
Question is where? Charge pipe has been suggested as the 1st place to look but are there any other known weak areas?

No BOV car is in stock trim other than JB4. Got a dyno run tomorrow with a few of the UK guys so will see if we can spot anything. Hardly seems worth running when its struggling to hit target.

Rather than spending the money on a dyno you should spend it on a mechanic to fix the car. 30FF is boost leak. Since you bought the JB4 used it could just be damaged or something as well.

I know mike, i organised the day though so would be bad not to turn up. Plus many ears and JB4 users may spot a glaring mistake, got tool kit in the boot
Gives me a excuse to update components as well .

Mike any recommendations for chargepipe and intercooler pipe upgrades? Anything you sell?

I like the Helix FMIC the best, but ER and ETS are also top notch FMIC's that replace all the piping. |

Not showing on the UK site, FMIC is though. Really looking for just the pipework to rule out my boost loss issue. It could be the JB4 but i dont think it is as its only a few months old. Going to try map 0 tomorrow and run a few pulls. If it still leaks it must be a hose?

If it is not a boost leak, it is entirely possible that your wastegates are extremely worn and out of adjustment. Fixed a JB4 car with the same problem last month.

Dyno run from today, new it was bad but, not this bad!
Car is under warranty so my plan is, get car checked for boost leak, if found then great carry on. If not then take off the JB4 clear codes and give it to the shop.

I had organised it weeks ago before the jb4 was fitted, 9 or 10 of us from the UK side went. Dyno guys gave me details for someone to check for a boost leak so not a entirely wasted day.

So do you get the 30FF fault if you go back to stock boost levels? If it is totally fine with the JB removed, then getting any kind of warranty repair is pretty slim.
When I see a 30FF fault on stock cars, it's usually one of the EPDW's (wategate vacuum control valve) leaking or a wastegate mechanism binding/jamming. Or a broken or damaged vacuum hose. I've personally never seen a factory intercooler or bypass valve leak. If somebody left something loose, that's a different story.

On map 0 i get no codes, have been told to check the diverter valves first.

Could be one of the valves is leaking under higher boost pressure. Definitely a possibility. Time for an upgrade maybe....

wait wait wait... i just thought of something, we may have covered it under your last thread... but have you tried logging a pull in map 4... just to see if you hit stock boost target levels.. based on ur dyno you hit stock boost.. If you hit target on map 4, its probably back to something wrong with the board as you said, it may have been tampered with (intentionally/unintentionally) by the previous owner. Id give that a shot for sure.
