Getting Vorsteiner Carbon Hood
so im getting the carbon fiber vorsteiner hood this week, ordering tomorrow, but im wondering about paint. should i just paint all of it and leave the vents? or should i leave the vents and the raised part carbon fiber? anybody have any pics of a jetblack e90 with the hood/different ways of painting it?

It depends on what you plan on doing with the rest of the car. If you are going to do a CF theme throughout the exterior, leave more than just the vents unpainted. Otherwise, I would just painted it all and leave the events.

I'd def paint atleast the side parts of the hood. Leave the central part CF and the vents CF. that would look good. The lateral aspects need to be painted because of the flow of the hood and the pillars along side the windshield.

I think you should paint it and just leave the vents CF.
GL with whatever you choose to do.

I have just installed the Vorsteiner CF Race Hood on my silver E90 too. I am still deciding weither paint it or not. But I am more leaning forward for not paint. The non-paint hood gives a better resale value later. If you paint into a specific color, then later the resell will lock up with the specific color buyers only. Other reason is b/c I am trying to do a CF theme on my car. Right now, I have Kerscher CF lip, CF Gruppe M Intake, Vorsteiner CF Engine Cover and the Silver JleviSW CF Interior Trim. I am planing to do a CF replacement mirror cap, CF truck and roof spolier. GL!

paint it. It will look better... especially with the flow of the hood and the peri-windshield area.

I agree, I think at least a partial paint is in store. The completely exposed look is something that is hard to pull off, only extremely modified cars do this right.

how hard is it to install and take off? because if its not too much of a hassle or i could do it, id just leave it cf and try it out, see if i liked it and what not...
