hi there, i currently have ccc with dension 500 gateway and am getting really pissed at the amount of times the iphone doesnt work with the dension....almost everyday it refuses to play ball. another thing that is annoying is the bluetooth hands free, i cannot use my phone with the dension to play music and recieve a phone call from the tcu blutooth. i get the call come through but when i answer the call, i get a lot of noise and music from the phone when connected via the cable and blutooth.

so im wandering about makeing the switch to cic and combox.

is the reliability better with this combo? and also what about the blutooth hands free while using the iphone to play music or video via the idrive?

The CIC/Combox/6NR package will give you the best iPhone integration available for BMW vehicles and many other features.
It's OEM so you can be sure it will work flawlessly.
On the other hand you can check with Dension if they offer any software upgarde that could possibly fix the problem.
