ive got a e92 325i crimson red 50k miles ,great condition , I thought maybe 9-10 grand so ive put it up at 9700 on autotrader (webuyanycar offered 8400 ) ,no responses ,its been for sale for 3 weeks and i did troll the internet looking at other cars the same for sale and mine seemed pretty cheap , but now LOL the arse seems to have fallen out of the market with e92 325i's and 330i's going for 7500 whats gone on? this isnt seasonal and theyve not got intergalatic mileage Last edited by chrismanchr; 12-06-2012 at 06:06 AM.. Funny. I thought they were strong. I've been looking around and post 2009 E92 with a decent engine are still around £28k

I also thought they were quite strong at the moment. I looked to see what my 2007 335i would go for and it seemed pretty decent. You have found a lot of examples and the fact that you have little intrest in yours proves otherwise though. I suppose I am looking for the higher prices to make myself feel better and you are doing the opposite.
It could be the old 'you will allways find what you want to see for if you look hard enough' plays a small part. Bottom line is that it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and if you have no punters then it is probably not worth what you are asking which is not a good sign. Also worth considering rear wheel bigger engine cars allways haev a bit of a slow winter. Am I going mental or has it really been 8 years since the second half of 2006? |

been trying to sell my 325 m-sport, had little interest. priced mine as the cheapest in the country on AT, fair enough it has over 100k but i anticipated at least an offer or nibble.
oh actually, i did get offered £6k, and also offered 3 cars in part-ex, didnt fancy that to be fair! |

mine only has 50k and is in excellent condition and it in crimson red which really suits the car ,nothing ! lol funny enough I'm selling because i'm sick off buying cars that drop in value when the cars I really love raise in value ,ive got a mint mk1 mr2 which is going up ,I want to sell the 325i and get a 944 turbo and a small engined runabout for work or maybe even a 205gti for work

There are not many people buying new cars so used should be stronger, and for the most part this is reflected.
However the way people are valuing used vehicles is changing, the old 'Book' is being replaced by 'Live' systems. For example, what happens to 4x4 values if it snows?! They shoot up. But if you were using the old 'Book' the value wouldn't change, hence why traders, dealers etc are making the change. I believe this is why you will see used car market prices change more regularly, not sure if its a good thing or not though! |

It's a very tough market out there at the moment, probably a mix of no confidence in anything in these recessionary times + it's only 2-3 weeks until Santa slides down the chimney, and people have other things lined up for their hard earned.
I've had my car on Autotrader for the last two weeks,1st week it was @£21,500,second week it was @£20,500,which I thought might spark some interest! Ad's here (now sold) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...01211214326779 The Ad attracted 900+ views, but not one viewer picked up the phone, even for a laugh and to take the piss If you're selling I'd suggest waiting until everyone's recovered from the New Years hangover, and try again next year.

Now you're talking. I wish I still had my 944.
BTT, my bad - 6 years old is what I meant. I suppose they have dropped in recent times but the reasons have been stated above.

having said that, I bought mine 2 years ago this month, so some people do buy cars in December! in the case of 325's I also think that because 335 values are much lower, people would look at those instead - im not sure of the quality of 335 you get for 10k though |
