Speed Religion - Ant?

Hi folks, hope everyones well.

Been trawling through the archives and found alot of posts around 2008 about Ant from Speed Religion who could get 320bhp from a 330d E90.

What has happened to these guys? And do we know what was involved, i want!!!

Intercooler and remap I'd imagine? CDV removed if manual?

It's not difficult to get over 300bhp from a 330d though! A good remap place with a tailored map will be able to achieve it ..

Ant was a great character, and SR offered some very good deals on the forum.
My BMW BBK came via SR as did my straight through exhaust.

As far as I can recall, they decided to close SR as they were struggling to compete against other internet based companies selling similar products, and went back to concentrating on their property based business.

The 330D had a custom Superchips map, straight through exhaust and as Dave suggested, the CDV removed, along with other cosmetic mods.

It was an awesome bit of kit,and would seriously embarrass a stock 335D,stonking car to drive,I got the opportunity to give it a whirl, when I had the BBK installed.

Just found this pic, when I had the exhaust fitted:

^ Nice pic, both cars look lovely.

Dan, 320? that is some pretty serious figures. Have you spoken to evolve? or maybe birds?

Evolve squeezed out 360/370 from the E46 M3 with a carbon box, alpha N map and Exhaust. Impressive for a highly developed NA.

If it wasn't their map then how did they squeeze anything AP? They fitted a few off the shelf parts, flashed the ECU with someone else's software and then put it on a rolling road?

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "alpha N map"

Or is the map their own work and branded as above maybe?

Correct Megster the Alpha N is an Evolve product. As is the Carbon Air box which is Cad engineered to their own specification.

Exhaust most definately is off the shelf, most probably an eisemann race.

What Ian said. All accurate. Any took me out in his 330d when he did my tyres & brake - I was gobsmacked by it. Nice chap too. Stored my RFT in his home garage for me to collect later (to swap back upon sale). Remember his nailgun accident - he was lucky!

So thats it, Speed religion is properly gone?

Seems like they have great reputation. Shame about the internet based competition.
