If this is true, then I'm very happy. No price increase for my soon-to-be-delivered '08!

Can anyone else confirm there's no price increase?

$5500 more for 335xi coupe vs. 328xi coupe. Makes sense...it's inline with 335xi sedan vs. 328xi sedan. Any chance of getting MY08 pricing sheets posted as a pdf like the MY07 sheets were?

I'm told my car is to be built 3rd week of September. I sure hope it starts early too. But really, how often do cars start production early?

Thanks for the info Doubleapex!! I just ordered a car earlier this week, so this is good news. Any word on package changes, color offerings, etc. (other than what you posted) or did you just receive a price update?

Thanks.

My dealer sent me the e92 335 MY2008 order guide last week (without prices) and the only difference I could see was the optional 19" wheels (only available with the sport package). I was really hoping to see regenerative braking but so far it looks like only Europe is going to get that feature this year.

I did a lot of searching on this and there have been press releases on this feature for MY2008 UK 3-series vehicles but the US MY2008 dealer product bulletin makes no mention of it so while it's still 'possible' I doubt it. Too bad, I really like the idea of it and was hoping it would make it here but I think the UK emission fee is part of the reason they are getting it first.

While is feature does improve gas mileage, it is not as advanced as it sounds. All it does is decouple the drive gear on the altenator while under power. It will charge only while braking or coasting, it is not like the brake system power generator on hybrid type vehicles.

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/t...eneration.html

Make use of every Watt: by charging the battery only when your BMW is braking, coasting or decelerating, Brake Energy Regeneration improves fuel efficiency by up to three percent and ensures that the full power of your engine is available for acceleration.

Today's vehicles require much more electrical energy than older models, due to the much wider array of electric and electronic on-board comfort and safety systems. This energy is created by the generator (also known as the alternator) which converts the engine's power output into electricity. In conventional systems, the generator is permanently driven by a belt connected to the engine. BMW's Brake Energy Regeneration operates differently: the generator is activated only when you take your foot from the accelerator or apply the brake. The kinetic energy that would otherwise go to waste is now used efficiently, converted into electricity by the generator and stored in the battery.
Producing electricity in this highly efficient way delivers an additional advantage: when you apply the accelerator, the generator is deactivated - so the full power of the engine can be directed to the drive wheels. Brake Energy Efficiency thus increases fuel efficiency while simultaneously enhancing driving dynamics. As a safety precaution, the Brake Energy Regeneration system monitors the level of battery charge and will, if necessary, continue to charge the battery even during acceleration to prevent a complete discharging of the battery.

Does this mean that the European Delivery invoices are up 800-1000 for MY2008? Can anyone confirm that?
